Janki + Dilan - Oklahoma's Largest Wedding?

When the dust settled on this incredible wedding week, word started circulating that it was the largest scale wedding ever in Oklahoma. While I don’t know how such things would be measured or verified, it makes perfect sense to me. Janki and Dilan’s five day affair included hundreds of guests, multiple venue settings at Aspen Ranch, vendors from across the country, and teams that worked literally around the clock to pull off a series of magnificent events for this traditional wedding.

When the professional photos come back they’ll deserve a post all their own! This blog post features iPhone snaps and screen grabs of video from the night. I illustrated at the bride’s Mehndi party where she, along with her bridal party and family, have henna applied. It was fascinating to watch and I loved seeing the intricate designs on the different guests I illustrated.

The team at Aspen Ranch in Edmond, Oklahoma did an incredible job hosting the entire affair. Working with the team out there is always a joy for us - you can’t beat their professionalism and hospitality. KI Weddings coordinated the entire week from top to bottom. Other vendors for the Mehndi party included Sheetal’s Henna Designs, Design House Decor, Empire Entertainment, Ilume Artistry, Sparkling Tulips, Vellora Productions and CGA catering.
